We just got home from our trip in the east where we checked out some of the schools Josh was accepted into for grad school. He is going to be getting his Masters in Industrial Organizational Psychology. He was accepted at East Carolina University (North Carolina), Radford University (Virginia), and Eastern Kentucky University. As well as Cleveland State (Ohio) and the Kansas State online masters program. We ruled out Cleveland State because Cleveland freaks me out (don't ask me what makes it any different than Dallas... it's a mental thing... in my mind there is more crime in Cleveland which makes it a scary place to live). We also ruled out K. State because we were afraid there might be a certain stigma associated with an online program that might hold Josh back as he enters a doctorate program and/or the work force.
We flew into Greenville NC on May 18. We stayed with our cousins Dylan and Julie who are currently living there while Dylan is in grad school. Even though we were there on a mission and didn't to spend a ton of time with them, we had a blast with Dylan, Julie and their sweet little girl Eloise.
Greenville is beautiful! A lot more green and a lot less concrete than what we are used to. The campus was really charming, clean and inviting.
There is a really neat open green area right in the middle of campus.We even saw some people relaxing in a hammock in this area.

Josh, Maverik and Pee Dee "The Pirate"
Maverik was a trooper for the entire trip. He is very agreeable and adjustable. He endured an early and long plane ride, lots of long hours in the car and sleeping in strange beds (pack n' plays and even the floor in one hotel) night after night. He even put up with us carting him in and out of apartments and condos and professors offices on campus. His schedule was completely whack a' doodle!
Josh and I did our best to make time for Maverik to stretch his legs (literally... Did I tell you he is walking?!) and play.
This was at a really fun park in Greenville. If we go to ECU I can see us spending a lot of time at this park.
P.S. Julie is sending me some pics of Eloise and Maver together. All the ones we had were junky! Cute kiddo post coming soon! In the mean time I have a question for ya... If Dylan and Josh are first cousins what does that make Eloise and Maverik?
Greenville looks awesome. And Mav and Eloise are second cousins.
