Our Move

I know. I know. It has been age's since I last posted! Here are a few pictures from our move.

Here is the first state sign we saw.

Mav fell on his nose at the Louisiana visitors center. ):

We took a well planned (by Josh) driving break in Tuscaloosa and saw University of Alabama's MASSIVE stadium!!!!

Josh just had to stop at the Talladega Speedway for a quick picture.

We stopped driving for the night and just so happened to be in Georgia where my good friend and college roommate Lind's lives. We spent the night with her and got to see her cute home and meet her fiance.

The next morning we stopped at the Kennesaw Mountain National Park.
They have really incredible Civil War cannons and the most beautiful walking paths.

There is the most beautiful mile long hike in North Carolina and at the end you are treated with the Whitewater Falls! Gorgeous!

I love driving on tree lined roads like this!

I demanded we stop at the Sassafras Foothills. From the top you can see four states- South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. This is really a beautiful part of the country!

And...we made it! Home sweet home!

Visiting Granny

We were able drive down to Utah to spend a few days with Josh's Granny in Provo before we flew home to Dallas. We had an amazing time with her. She made us oodles of yummy food. She even introduced Maverik to oatmeal and he has begged for it ever since! Mav had a great time performing for her. He is such a little ham!

Isn't Granny the best?! We just love her!

A visit to Idaho

Before our move we decided it would be a good idea to go up to Idaho and visit family, just in case we wouldn't be able to make it across the country in the next 2-5 years. We had a really good time. We went to the zoo, BYU-Idaho, and Grammie Del's house. We also enjoyed ice blocking, yummy dinners and super awesome and great company!

How do you pose in front of the pink flamingo's?

How Mav spent much of his time at the zoo.

Petting a donkey!

Mav just about died when he saw the llama's!!!!
( his favorite books are from Anna Dewdny's Llama Llama series)

4 Generations

A boy and a box

Packing is awesome! If you're 13 months old... not so much if you're 22 years old and you have a 13 month old who likes to "help" by unpacking. But we still seemed to find a silver lining! Look at these pictures!

Bahahaha!

Happy Birthday Tagg

Maverik's cousin Taggart had his first birthday way back on July 5. We were invited to the Hatch's home to celebrate Taggy's birthday. Linds made a yummy dinner and we enjoyed great company. Josh and I have the cutest nieces and nephews ever! Check out these pics I got of them.

The birthday boy himself!

Sydney loving on her new baby sister!

New toys!

The big boys enjoyed wrestling away some extra energy.

12 Months

Before we moved I wanted to make one last trip to the Dallas Arboretum to get a few pictures of Mav in the pretty gardens. These were taken the week after Maverik turned one. The problem with photographing a one year old boy... they don't sit still! Also I'm not a photographer but here's my attempt. Enjoy!
