Tonight I set up "The Dating Game!" compliments of Love Actually. I prepared three different personalities: Cowgirl, Barbie and Guidette (pretty much a mix of Snooki and Jwoww from Jersey Shore). When Josh picked his "bachelorette" it came with a date. I made plans for each of the personalities, they each came with an outfit for both Josh and I to wear out on our date and a destination for dinner. Josh chose the Guidette, which naturally came with me in a cute outfit and heals and Josh in a tight shirt and designer jeans. After we changed into our "personality outfits" we went out for Italian food. It was fun to write up silly answers for each of my personalities. The best part was having me try and keep my accents straight when answering the questions behind a sheet... it's a good thing my hubby already loves me! Thanks Joshie for the fun night and for always going along with my little bits no matter how silly they are. I always have so much fun with you!
My First Day of Work
As many of you know I quit my job at American Eagle about a month ago. Since then I have been going crazy with boredom! Well I finally found something that will give me the flexibility to spend time with family and travel to Idaho for holidays and go on vacation with the Joneses. It also makes it possible for me to keep a similar day to day schedule with Josh. This is something I will be able to do to while going to school.
I am now a consultant for SHELF RELIANCE: THRIVE food storage. I had my first conference call today. It was awesome! I am so excited to receive my product and get started! This is really something useful and important. It is something I truly believe in! I am really excited about the THRIVE Q which helps you determine what and how much food storage you need. I think this is a really great thing! I can't wait to learn more about it and share all of that information with you.
I did a no-no

While shopping at Target yesterday some really cute baby onesies on an end cap caught my eye. I got closer to see them better and that was a big mistake because they were on sale! Only $3.95 for the set! I couldn't help but buy them for our someday baby. THIS IS NOT AN ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! OR AN INVITATION FOR ANYONE TO START ASKING WHEN WE ARE GOING TO START TRYING!!!!! They were just way too cute and way too inexpensive to pass up! They are sitting in my hope chest now. (it's nice to have something to "hope" for, my hope chest has been very empty since Josh and I were married... Go figure). Josh was so cute (after he finished making fun of me for buying clothes for a baby we don't have and are not expecting anytime soon) he started cuddling with one of the onesies and talking to it like he was a daddy. I know Josh is going to be a wonderful father someday. I am excited to see him with our little ones.
A Perfect Lunch Date
I was blessed to have the opportunity to do a lunch date with my in-laws Bruce and Jerri. I made a lunch for Bruce and I and took it into the office. When I got there I was very pleasantly surprised to see my sister in law Linds and her children. Sadly they left literally seconds after I arrived. Jerri was also at the office working on pay roll. I spent about an hour in the the office visiting with Bruce and Jerri. It was awesome to have some one on one time with them to get to know them better.
Game Night at the Joneses!
Josh and I have been so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful ward! From day one we have been accepted as part of the ward family. It seems like we are always getting invited to dinner, game nights and all kinds of other activities. We decided it was about time to show a little love in return. We invited several couples to come over to our home for a game night.
Everyone enjoyed good company and conversation. We also had a blast playing Trivial Pusuit, Counting Dice, and The Newly Wed Game (Josh and I came in second place... but only by one point)
I have been getting really into cooking and baking lately. I try a new recipe almost every day. For game night I decided to try Taco Pizza! It was so yummy! We also had brownies, lemon cookies, cake balls (thanks to the Bushmans), chips and salsa, and really tasty pineapple soda (thanks to the Thatchers)
Thanks everyone for coming! We will have to get together again soon!
Pools and Ducks
I had the privilege of spending an afternoon with my awesome sister in law and her two children Eme and Easton. We went to the community pool and splash park in the neighborhood pool that Josh and I live in. It was alot of fun to play with the kids and to have great chat with Linds!
We really missed the great company of Ashley, Jerri and Karim for our girls day.

About thirty minutes after arriving at the otherwise empty pool we were shocked and excited to share the pool with three ducks! Eme liked the ducks as long as they didn't come anywhere near her and Easton insisted in being safely in his mother arms.
Thanks Hatches for a wonderful day!
One of the best things in life...
is the breakfast sandwich! I have always said that McDonald's should serve breakfast all day, that is until I found the best little sandwich chain in Texas. Which Wich! They are alot like subway, but oooh so much better! I just discoverd that they have breakfast sandwiches All Day!!!! I had a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich with bacon added! As my nephew Eithan would say, "It was Yum!"
Just incase ya'll wanna use the store locator to go get yourself one of the delicious morsels of tastiness! Which Wich?
Today I feel crafty...
As many of you know I recently quit my job. I am also not enrolled in school right now. I am a lady of leisure. If you know me well you also know that this abundance of free time is killing me. So because of this massive amount of boredom I am now rediscovering my love of crafts. I found this website that I absolutely love! It teaches you how to make truly amazing cookies! My cookies so far are far from truly amazing, but they still taste pretty good! I am excited to get together with my sister in law Ashley to make cookies. Ashley does a fantastic job with the sugar cookies she has been making. She is my cookie inspiration.
I also just made a Potter Barn inspired bulletin board (after all I wouldn't be a mormon woman if I didn't see something cute and automatically think, "I can make that myself.").
Here is what I came up with. ( sorry I could not get a decent picture without a huge glare from our light)

The finished product looks very nice (if I do say so myself, and I do!) in our office. I can't wait to have more pictures of our family and friends, and of course our adorable nieces and nephews to put on it.

Troops surprising loved ones.
Sometimes you just need a good cry, this did it for me today. Hope you all enjoy.
A Silly Night at the Joneses
also our spatchula!
We had a competition to see who could pick out the most pieces of red rubber from our strawberry smoothies. We also tried to find the biggest hunk and the teeny weeniest piece. (Josh won all three competitions.)
It was a wonderfully fun and silly night. I just love my husband. We have so much fun together. I am so blessed to have him in my life.
Tuesday's with the Clapp's
The last day we were in Idaho Jade and Jessica invited the family over to their new home for some burgers and swimming. Eithan had a blast jumping into the water. He is a little fish. He wasn't even afraid of the 12 foot deep water. He said " You just have to kick and keep your head up Kallie." (What a little smarty pants)

The big boys were having just as much fun jumping off the diving board and showing off their "skills" haha
Here is the ever so skilled Jade! Don't feel bad boys, he plays in the pool everyday.
Nice one Josher! That's My Man!
This one made my day!
I'm pretty sure I had more fun watching the boys play, than they had playing, but eventually I did take a turn on the diving board (My flips were pretty lame and not at all recording quality)

I really like Josh's expression in this one.

Madelyn got more and more comfortable in the water as the night drew on.
By the end she was swimming under water and everything.
I love this shot.
And this one

... and this one, isn't she so pretty?!?!
The food was amazing! and the company was even better!
Jade and Jess have a pet turtle named Louie. Jess gave him to Jadeo a few years ago and we was small enough to fit in her pocket.

I think Jess is getting a little baby hungry (:
(I'm just not sure if we want to risk having little Jade's running around)
Thanks for the fun evening J & J! We love you guys! Miss you already!
Grammy Margie
Grammy Margie's funeral was on Tuesday afternoon. The service was very nice and it was good to see my fathers side of the family. The program included an open period, where anyone who wanted to say something or share a memory could stand up and talk. I learned some pretty neat things about my grandmother that I didn't know before.
One of my favorite memories with her was at our wedding. We had an orchestra and Grammy Margie got up and started dancing. It was really fun and cute to see her so happy and energetic. Many of the people who got up to share memories mentioned her love of dancing, one man said how she had learned to line dance at 70 years old. And the nurse at the nursing home, where Grammy has lived for the past year or so, said that anytime live performances came to The Gables, Grammy would be the first one on the dance floor.
Everyone spoke of how she loved to serve others and how she was always willing and ready to get in and work. She even set the tables at the nursing home while she was living there. She liked to help the "old people" funny thing is, she was older than most of the people she served.
Grammy Margie was a participant. If there was an activity she was invited to attend she was there, whether she knew nothing about the subject or was a pro at it. I hope I can learn from Grammy's example and be more willing to put myself out there and try new things.
A Quick Trip to Idaho
My grandmother on my fathers side passed away last week. Josh and I decided that it was important for us to be at the funeral in Idaho. With permission to miss work from his boss (thanks Bruce!) Josh took off Monday- Wednesday this week. We left Texas on Saturday morning at six am. This meant we had to leave our house at 4!!!! Eww!!

This is what we look like at Four AM
We flew into Salt Lake and then rented a car to drive up to Idaho in.
(Last minute tickets into IF are very expensive!!!)
I have always wanted to stop and take pictures at the Idaho border! Thanks Josh for checking that one off my bucket list!
We pulled into Idaho Falls around 4. After saying hello to everyone and visiting a while My mom, Hattie, Madelyn, Sophie, Josh and I went to eat at a little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in Shelley Id.
Madelyn had to sit between Josh and I, I just love this little girl, she is getting so big.
Sophie Bell has already changed and grown, and we just saw her a few weeks ago.
I'm very impressed with her, she is already starting to walk. I bet she will be running around causing trouble in the next month.
